My coworkers and I are seeing the following problem in Acrobat 11, Acrobat 9, and Adobe Reader 9 on Windows when replying to a comment such as a sticky note or inserted text in PDFs:
Result: The comment row collapses; when I expand it, I find that my reply text has disappeared, although my name and the timestamp remain.
Result: The reply text sticks along with my name and the timestamp.
I am in the habit of saving often regardless of what type of file I'm working on, and it's very frustrating that I have to take the extra step of moving my cursor around before I can save. I suspect this has been happening to my document reviewers as well, because I frequently see blank replies, and I have to ask them what they meant to type.
Is this a known defect, and is there any fix or workaround for it?
Please update Acrobat 11 to the latest version. This issue is fixed in 11.0.3 release.
For getting the latest updates, "Go to Help menu->Check for Updates".
Thanks! I just upgraded to 11.0.5, and the problem seems to be fixed. However, my reviewers have the same problem in Adobe Reader (v 9). Has the problem been fixed in a newer version of Reader as well?
The problem is still there in 9. You can use latest Reader 11 to solve the issue.
