Comment replies disappear when I save

My coworkers and I are seeing the following problem in Acrobat 11, Acrobat 9, and Adobe Reader 9 on Windows when replying to a comment such as a sticky note or inserted text in PDFs:

      1. In the Comment pane, click Reply for an existing comment.
      2. Type some reply text.
      3. Before moving the cursor out of the reply field, press Ctrl + S to save.

Result: The comment row collapses; when I expand it, I find that my reply text has disappeared, although my name and the timestamp remain.

      1. In the Comment pane, clickReply for an existing comment.
      2. Type some reply text.
      3. Click elsewhere in the comment pane.
      4. Press Ctrl + S to save.

Result: The reply text sticks along with my name and the timestamp.

I am in the habit of saving often regardless of what type of file I'm working on, and it's very frustrating that I have to take the extra step of moving my cursor around before I can save. I suspect this has been happening to my document reviewers as well, because I frequently see blank replies, and I have to ask them what they meant to type.

Is this a known defect, and is there any fix or workaround for it?
