help with step 3

Im using IE 9 i believe. When i try and download the most updated version of Adobe Flash Player it goes fine until i click finish. once I do an IE tab is opened up that says step 3 of 3 but instead of actually finshing  just shows an advertismet of "other products i may be interested in" my computer still says i need an updated flash im using a windows 7 operating system

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link and selecting "Save target as".

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Save it - DO NOT run it yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything, run the installer from your downloads folder.

There's nothing in the download but the Flash Player ActiveX plugin for IE, so you won't see any "other products" advertised.
