Probably the easiest thing to do (because it doesn't muck up anything else) is to double-click on the imported track so that it opens up in the waveform editor. If you now open up Effects>Amplitude and compression>Channel mixer, you can manipulate what's on both channels from what's there at present. Without looking I'm not exactly sure, but there's a good chance that there's a preset in there that will do exactly what you want without you having to figure out the settings yourself, but it's not difficult anyway. When you click on Multitrack again at the top LHS of the screen, the original file will be updated. When you close the session you'll be reminded that you haven't saved it, and whether you do or not is up to you.
