1. Re: FR: Intelligent tab name for Project Window
JSS1138 Dec 16, 2013 9:10 AM (in response to PierreLouisBeranek)It's a quick way to see what project you're working in. I like it.
My recommendation would be to use shorter project names. I generally use only the groom's last name - Petros Wedding

2. Re: FR: Intelligent tab name for Project Window
PierreLouisBeranek Dec 16, 2013 1:16 PM (in response to JSS1138)As stated, using short project names is NOT an option for organizational purposes.
Do editors really need to be reminded of which project they're working on through the Project window's tab? And even if some editors suffer amnesia and forget what they're working on halfway through an editing session, I would still argue that the Project window tab is a terrible and completely unnecessary way of indicating the currently open project. Why?
1.Check my posted image... often the project name will be cut off due to lack of UI space to fully display, meaning a user can't even see the full project name unless they scroll with the tiny Project window scroll bar.
2. The full project name, and complete folder path for that matter, appears in the middle of the top blue UI bar!
Sorry, but it sounds to me like once again you've come up with an irrelevant argument for nothing more than argument's sake.
