Can anyone help me? I am trying to transfer a library book I have downloaded from overdrive onto my Kindle paperwhite and have been told that I need to use calibre to convert it first. How do I transfer the file from adobe digital editions to calibre?

If the file is a DRM file, you cannot use it on a Kindle.

Amazon only supports its own proprietry DRM.

They subsidise the Kindle in order to lock you in to buying books from them.

If it is a non-DRM .epub file you can just open it directly in Calibre.

Also, most non-DRM .epub files are also available directly in Kindle format.
