Mark Mapes Dec 21, 2013 1:20 AM (in response to Tim_Twinem)Have you cleared your cache files?
If not, do so by deleting all the contents of the "Media Cache" and "Media Cache Files" folders here: /Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common
Since 7.2.1 was released, one other customer has reported that the problem persists. In that case, the audio had been edited in Audition and then handed back to Premiere.

Tim_Twinem Dec 21, 2013 1:24 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Yes I emptied the cache, it's the first thing I did. No it didn't help. I can try the Audition work-around but it seems a bit ridiculous. Wish this would just work correclty.

5. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Issue
Mark Mapes Dec 21, 2013 1:30 AM (in response to Tim_Twinem)I wasn't suggesting a workaround involving Audition. What I said was that one user reported that his audio problem was not fixed by the 7.2.1 update, and that the audio had been imported from Audition.
Here's the thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5949004#5949004.

Tim_Twinem Dec 21, 2013 1:34 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Oh I see. My bad, read that wrong. It's 2am and I've exported this edit a half dozen times, I'm a bit dilerious. My audio did not come from audition. Standard .wav and .mp3 files, nothing different from plenty other projects I've worked on in CC.

7. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Issue
Mark Mapes Dec 21, 2013 1:37 AM (in response to Tim_Twinem)It's a longshot, but if you rendered the sequence and Use Previews is enabled in your export settings, then you might need to clear the Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files for this project. That seems unlikely given that you report that the glitches have moved around in the encoded output.

8. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Issue
Mark Mapes Dec 21, 2013 1:42 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)I'm out of troubleshooting ideas. Sorry, audio's not my strong suit.
Two things left to try as workarounds:
- replace audio crossfade effects with keyframed fades. Depending on the number of transitions involved, this may not be practical.
- roll back to CC7.1

9. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Issue
Tim_Twinem Dec 21, 2013 1:53 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Tried the keyframe fades, worked for all but one section of the project, which confused me even more. It's very random and hard to figure out why it's doing what it is. SO I found an old thread for an audio issus (similar but a bit different) in CS5.5. They said there fix was to: copy audio, delete all the audio tracks, add new audio tracks, re-paste the audio. And belive it or not, it worked. I have no idea why. So for now, on this project, I'm good. But I look forward to a bug fix on this soon.
I appreciate your help Mark.

JSS1138 Dec 21, 2013 2:59 PM (in response to Tim_Twinem)7.2.1 was the bug fix. My guess is something just got messed up with that sequence, which was corrected with the new tracks.

___Peter___ Dec 25, 2013 2:59 AM (in response to JSS1138)As I write in the other thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1364663 the 7.2.1 did not fix the problem here. Random audio noise on fade ins.
At the moment Premiere is pretty unusable as it could happen at any time to mess up the audio at fadeins. No workaround so far. No bugfix.

grandpooba2 Jan 7, 2014 7:12 PM (in response to ___Peter___)I have this problem on two machines with PPCC and PPC6. I rolled back my PPCC and here it has cropped it's ugly head again. Strange but really kills the ears and headphones. Ideas?

Tim_Twinem Jan 10, 2014 2:33 PM (in response to JSS1138)This is still happening. Strange digitial noises during crossfades on exports. I've done every "fix" there is and it doesn't help. Extremely frustrating. I'm on 7.2.1.
What's the deal?

shooternz Jan 10, 2014 2:48 PM (in response to Tim_Twinem)Win 7; PPro 7.2.1
Just for the record.
I was a reluctant updater to 7.2 mainly for this reason but I eventually did so last week (for another reason) and the sequences I have with audio cross fades have not exhibited the "problem".
