Fullscreen Slideshow Widget Prev & Next arrows alignment is off

    AzzieScott Community Member

Im trying to use the fullscreen slideshow widget. I place the widget on the blank page, and it fills the page as described. I want the Prev and Next button placed on opposite edges of the page. I align the arrows in the design screen, but when I preview in browser the arrows are way off. I cant figure out why. I have attached screen shots of what is happening. Can someone help with this?

This is how I want it to look:

But this is how it shows in browser:

          Hi,

You need to pin the right arrow to the right for it to stay on the right edge of the browser.

          Regards,

          Aish

Ok I did what you said and pinned the arrows to the left and the right of the browser edge as you suggested. and it stayed in place. But when I resize the arrows to a larger size, and preview in browser they dont align as they should as you can see in these screen shots below. the white containers align to the edge, but the arrows inside the white container dont align. They do in design mode but dont stay aligned in preview mode. All I did was change the size of the arrows from the default14px to 200px.

              Azzie,

Apart from what Aish said regarding pinning the right arrow ... I don't think your White arrow boxes are wide enough ... the arrows are obviously text based and so the white boxes may need to be slighly bigger than the actual text font size ... add about 10 to 20pixels on the width of the white boxes and try that ... more if needed, until they balance out and match ... graphic images are perfect for this and don't give you this problem ... also you could make the arrows huge and then turn off the background colour so just the arrows show ...

In an example (I tried) my arrows were 36px font size but the white boxes are 50px in width and the arrows were then symetrical and perfect ... that's also true if you justify the arrows left & right accordingly ...

              cheers,

Hi GemBro, I also resized the white boxes  to accommodate the arrows and still the same result. I even made the white boxes transparent and just aligned the arrows and still no success. Can you recreate my what I did and you can see if it happens for you.

                1. Create a blank default project, don't adjust any settings

                2. Add the fullscreen slideshow widget

                3. deselect the counter box

                4. Un-pin the arrows from the default upper left.

                5. Move the arrows to the left and right browser edge evenly

                6. Pin the left arrow to the bottom left and the right arrow to the bottom right

                7. Change the size of the arrow from the default 14px to 200px

                8. Preview the page in browser.

When I do this these are the results get as I shown in my screen shots above. Can you please try the exact steps that I did and see if you get the same results. Because im not doing anything major, its a simple fullscreen slideshow and it wont align

Ok I done exaclty what you described and I got what you got in your screen shots above ... then AFTER I resized the Font Size to 200px I then (as I suggested) resized the white boxes individually, to a width of 175 NOT the Font Size but the actual box themselves using the white handles around the boxes, when they are selected ... I repositioned them accordingly ... after that they looked right ... ... as seen in my screenshots below ... the only difference being, I resized the white boxes which you didn't list in the numbered list, in your reply, above? ...

Did you mean that resizing the Font was actually resizing the boxes? ... could it be a misunderstanding? ... ...

                  My setup:

                  01.jpg   02.jpg

                  cheers
