Creative Cloud Installer fails to start

OS: Mac OS X 10.9.1

The installer, when launched from Terminal, gives the error:

libc++abi.dylib: terminating with uncaught exception of type devtech_private::OSStatusException

Abort trap: 6

you shouldn't be using terminal.

If I don't launch it from Terminal, nothing happens.

log in with your adobe id

download one your apps.  the cc app should download and install.

use the app to continue downloading adn installing more apps, if desired.

That is exactly what I did the first time and the installer fails to launch.

does the cc app download onto your computer?

if so, is it a dmg file?

The DMG downloads and I can mount it, but when I open the installer app, nothing happens, unless I launch it from Terminal, which gives the error message.

The installer doesn't need to be moved from the DMG. The installer itself fails to start no matter where it's run from.
