flash player plugin not listed in chrome

I cannot download Flash Player to Firefox - Ubuntu 12.04 - javascript:void(0).  Adobe says Flash player is installed in chromium browser but it is not listed in Plugin list so cannot enable.  Need help.  Been working on this for several hours with no change.  New to Linux.  Cannot play music on Pandora or view Youtube without Flash Player!  Help
