'Failed to accept sharing invitation'

I couldn't find a solution to this problem, so I'm posting here.

I'm looking into using Adobe Story to be able work with other people, but so far I've had no luck in sharing anything with anyone. I have Adobe Story Plus, and I've tried to share a project with both free users and paying users. They both get the invitations, but no one is able to accept the invitation and all they get is the error message. I have tried and failed with two free users and one paying user. I created a new project for this purpose. I have tried every role (co-author, reviewer, reader, writer).

It says on this page that free users are able to work with projects shared with them (http://helpx.adobe.com/uk/story/help/project-sharing.html).

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the test project with us, it helped a lot. We think we have isolated the problem and fixed it for you. Now, if you share a project, the co-authors should be able to accept them.
Please note that the previous shares might not work, you'll have to share projects again.

The issue with your account has been fixed. Now, if you share a project, the co-authors should be able to accept them.
Please note that the previous shares might not work, you'll have to share projects again.

This still did not work. My friend who is a free user is still unable to accept the invitation to my project. I am a paid subscriber as well.

Hi,

It should be fixed. Did you share a new project ? In an existing project, you'll might have to first remove the previous sharing invites. This can be done by :
Go to Projects view, Projects -> Manage Shared Project...
Search for the co-authors email...
unshare the project with the co-author.

Please note that old sharing invites will not work, you'll have to either share a new project, or remove the previous invites and then share again.

If it doesn't work, please share a new project with sunny at adobe dot com which we can then test.

Hi,
I'm the free user that zstephen394 is referencing. I was wondering if there was anything that we could try and accomplish from my end to attempt to get this working? It seems after trying everything that we've tried so far, nothing is going to work, and it's very discouraging. I certainly have no idea what could be causing the issue though, so you tell me!

Hi Stephen/Patrick,

I was able to accept the invitation of the TEST project that you shared with me so I'd need more help from your side to fix the issue. Please share another 'new' project with me (sunny at adobe dot com) to begin with.

Also, I've made a small change to fix the issue, so you can try the sharing once more and see if it works.

The sharing of TEST 2 worked. I was able to accept it.

I have been having this issue as well. I am a paid user trying to share with unpaid partner.... I called ADOBE HELP about this, spent over half an hour on the phone... they said they would call me back but never did. I tweeted to Jason - the story evangelist... and to adobe support online... no help at all.

This is obviously a bug that you would think would be so obvious it would not have made it out of testing. But Alas... here we all are and no fix yet.

Hi,

Sorry that you faced this issue. It's actually partly fixed( doesn't happen for new accounts). Some old accounts still could stumble across this issue for which we currently have to manually update the account data.

Please try sharing projects again.

Hi Sunny,

I am also having this same issue and I have shared the project to sunny at adobe.com. I am a paid subscriber also sharing with a paid subscriber. I am getting an email response as the shared person has rejected the invitation. When someone else shares the project with me; there is no notifications.
