I have authorized my computer and have everything set up there, but when I plug in my Nook HD+ it doesn't do anything.  It doesn't read that anything has been plugged in.  How do I make it so that Adobe Digital Edition will regonize my device?

Most tablets are not recognised directly by ADE, even when they have Adobe ereader app (such as Bluefire ir Aldiko) installed and running.

You need to copy files to the devices as a mounted drive using a file manager (Windows Explorer, Mac Finder)

As long as the app running on the tablet is appopriately authorized (same ID as on the computer), you should then be able to read the book on the tablet.
