how to deregister devices

How do I deregister devices that I no longer have?

For ereader devices, with the device plugged in to ADE use ctrl-shift-E (cmd-shift-E on a Mac) to ADE.

(One of those essential features of ADE the usability people decided to hide.)

For tablet devices running ereader apps, the app will have a deregistration method smewhere.
