1. Re: Change the image under Form XObject to the first layer
Test Screen Name Dec 29, 2013 8:10 AM (in response to kevinyuan)It isn't clear what you say is wrong with the first case. Do you have software with bugs in handling that? It certainly isn't a fault in the PDF.

2. Re: Change the image under Form XObject to the first layer
kevinyuan Dec 30, 2013 3:12 AM (in response to Test Screen Name)I don't mean it's wrong PDF. I think it's an improper usage of 5139 images in one form, which is not repeatable.
Is that easy way to optimize the structure ,to change all images to content stream?
There are some application which couldn't handle the PDF in this cases.

Test Screen Name Dec 30, 2013 3:53 AM (in response to kevinyuan)Why do you say it is improper? Is there something in 32000-1 which says so?

4. Re: Change the image under Form XObject to the first layer
lrosenth Dec 30, 2013 4:48 AM (in response to kevinyuan)IT's not wrong, but it's certainly non-optimal.
There are products on the market that can attempt to optimize this for you.

5. Re: Change the image under Form XObject to the first layer
Test Screen Name Dec 30, 2013 4:58 AM (in response to lrosenth)Well, certainly non-optimal, but the bad choice is using over 5000 images. I don't see any problem with them being in a form XObject rather than the page contents.
Given that many normal processes will encapsulate a page as an XObject, it seems to me it must be equally acceptable (if slow) either way.

kevinyuan Dec 30, 2013 5:17 AM (in response to lrosenth)Thank you both for the reply.
Is there any easy way to optimize the structure , without coding?
