Get error message "Windows can't open this file". Same things happens for photoshop and elements and for downloads via Akamai and alternative method.
Currently have v9 which was downloaded from disc. Have correct system requirements.
Please help.

what file (name/extension) are you trying to open when you see that message?

Hi kglad. Thanks for your response. I wasn't trying to open the files but got the message when it had finished attempting its download. I've been online with someone now who has given me different links, so fingers crossed they will work!
