Project for web using the program Director 11

Hi Milky!!!

Thanks for answer me.-

What I did was, 1st opened the project with the Safari browser, and worked perfect. No problem, nothing .... I tested several times and all the time worked perfect. The project is in my computer.-

Then, I uploaded to a hosting that I have, and then I clicked the project, appears the Shockwave logo ... and then the screen was white and nothing happened ...

So, I don´t know what to do .... because, aparently works when I have the project in my computer, but when I upload to a hosting it doesn´t work (the screen turns white) .... Then, I was thinking maybe the error was in the hosting? But I don´t think so ....

I was using 2 separate words and I didn´t realized that!!! And then, I have to wait just a little bit for the project to appear.-

Because this is the 1st time that I develop something for the web using Director, should I upload both files (.dcr & .html) to the hosting?

I have a question to ask regardin this project:

I tested the same project in different computers. In 1 parcullary, a Mac Air (I use a lot Apple computers), this project was an endless loop, never stop, and I couldn´t click in any icon: started the project, went all the way to the end and then started all over again. In other computers (Apple & Windows) didn´t happen this. The only way to stop it was closing the browser.-

What could it be? It will happen always? I would like to know to prevent this endless loop, in order to the project works perfectly in every computer.-

Yes, I have a "marker" in the place where I want to stop the movie.-

The odd thing is in most of the computers that I tested the project worked perfectly, but in 2 didn´t, it made a loop .... like the marker doesn´t exist ...

I don´t know what to think ...

I´ll check the option "Playback" that you mentioned, in case I have ticked ....

exactly ... The dcr starts, play all the project, ends where I want to end and then start all over again ... like a loop

I´m changing some things in the movie, uploading it and then I want you to watch it and tell me if happens to you the same thing that happens to me (this if you want ...).-

This is the 1st time that I develop a project for web using Director. I do it for the web, becuse I developed, some years ago for the computers, this educational game for kids with Director (which I LOVE), and, having all the project done with Director, I don´t have to program the project (with 40 games) all over again using another program.-

I don´t find it so difficult, but, because I don´t have so much experience using Director for the web, that´s why I asked these questions ...

I read the post that you suggested me, I found it very interested. My idea is to have the educational game on line, in order to the kids to play the game. I know that you´ll tell me why don´t you make your project downloadable ... but the thing is if everybody can download my project, CAN & WILL make a copy (or many copies ...) as they wish, without paying a fee for the copies, and I don´t have enough money to have a proper security system.-

As soon as I finish some small things and upload the project to the hosting (in order for me to test it after I upload it to its hosting), I´ll let you know, so you can see it and play it for free (for now ).-

Help, help help!!!!!! I need your help again!!

Here I´m, again!!!!!

I made just some small changes in the project. When I´ve it on my computer and I run it using a browser, the project works fantastic, checked that all the movie´s name were correct, everything is ok. But, when I uploaded it to the hosting, the project doesn´t work!!!!!

The error that appears is "unable to open the file "***.dcr" (I checked that all the names were ok and ARE ok, otherwise, I think, when I run it on my computer, the project wouldn´t work .... I don´t know.).-

I don´t know what the problem might be ...

Please, do try it and tell me if you´ve the same problem.-

The thing is that in 1st time, everything worked perfectly, my problem wasn´t this, was "the loop", which didn´t happen again. I didn´t have this problem. And out of the blue, happens this ....

When I run the project from my computer, works perfect!!!!!! I don´t have any problem .... The thing is, when the project is in the hosting, appears this problem, there is the key ... And the odd/weird thing is ... in the begining the project worked PERFECT. The problem that I had was the loop and not these ...

Probably, I have to click in an option in Director? Is there something that I´m missing? that I don´t do for the project doing these?

Do you know if anyone from Adobe can help me with this? Anyone from there that can I ask about it?
