40. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
randywarren Dec 11, 2013 2:01 PM (in response to WithersDigital)I don't understand how any pro editor who regularly edits with client in the suite, can use Premiere. It's simply unacceptable to hit play on a sequence and not be able to have audio play consistently. I've been dealing with this since CS6. In talking with other friends who have switched, they also have the same problem. From all my testing, there's no rhyme or reason, no matter how much RAM, where scratch disks are set, number of video tracks, audio sampling rate, etc.
I'm also baffled that they haven't responded with anything, acknowledged that this is a major issue for so many.

ReubenFink Dec 11, 2013 2:58 PM (in response to randywarren)I'm having the same issue as everyone else with the audio dropouts and I can't reliably replicate it each time. It seems random. Sometimes I even lose just one track of audio which is pretty strange. So suddenly the VO will drop out but for some reason the music still plays. Adobe's got the vid part worked out pretty well but I guess audio is too complex? Who knows. It is difficult to work with. I seem to have less of an issue when running it through my BM intensity card. But it still happens on occasion and I get another audio glitch instead. The audio randomly hiccups or stutters like you just squeezed off a burst from an AK-47. I love it cuz it wakes my clients up.
I do know for sure that we need to file a bug report the more of us that do it the better. They don't really pay much attention to the message boards.
I'm running latest PP CC on a 3,1 8-core mac pro. Gtx 570 2.5 gig. 16 gigs of ram.

45. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
jamesmarcustucker Dec 22, 2013 2:04 PM (in response to evil_twin1)Same issue here. Recently upgraded to CC from CS5.5 which worked fine. The first two major projects I have created with CC have been a nightmare. The audio just cuts out randomly. It takes a while for it to come back.
I'm noticing a pattern maybe: the timeline cursor will reach a new audio clip (usually when it has a transistion/fade up effect added to it), I hear a very loud, low pitched BEEP of BUZZ sound that lasts a fraction of a second, and then the audio completely drops out and it will take a while before it comes back in again.
Secondly, some of my exports from these projects have audio issues; the exported video (h.264) will have stuttering sounds expoted with it. And the sounds are usually at places in the video where I am transitioning from one audio clip to another. Is anyone else finding that their audio drops at the start of new audio clips? I'm wondering if it has something to do with the use of transition effects in audio clips.

46. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
Mark Mapes Dec 22, 2013 2:24 PM (in response to jamesmarcustucker)The "very loud, low pitched beep or buzz" that you report could be a bug that was introduced in the CC7.2 update and fixed in the 7.2.1 patch. Here's the thread on that issue: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1357792?tstart=0
If you've already applied the 7.2.1 patch, then you might be in the same boat as the user in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5950359?tstart=0#5950359
As for the audio cutting out in the midst of playback, we have not yet been able to reproduce that issue in-house (as far as I know, but then I've been on vacation for a week...). Just to rule out one known scenario where this happens: are you hitting this problem with clips that were recently imported and loaded for playback before the conforming process has completed?

ArminAwan Dec 24, 2013 6:14 PM (in response to evil_twin1)I have the same issue with the audio dropping out since CS6. At the beginning I could deal with it but now it's becoming a real concern. I'm surprised that after 6 months with many obviously concerned members speaking about this issue Adobe hasn't been able to fix this bug. How much longer Adobe?

48. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
CLHGus Dec 29, 2013 8:33 AM (in response to ArminAwan)Well today's buggy performance issue (there's been a new everyday this week) is that CCPP v7.2.1 is cutting out half of the audio on one of my newly imported (multi cam or single sequence doens't matter) AVHCD .mts files. Media encoder is mis-reading the file as well. Curiously Premiere elements 11 doesn't have a problem opening or working with this file....
does Adobe really expect us to spend several hours a day coming up with workarounds within in these last 2 PP version builds....? very discouraging.

49. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
NoahEdward Dec 29, 2013 12:32 PM (in response to evil_twin1)Having the same issue here and also submitted a bug report. I read on another forum that switching your audio hardware preferences to "System default input/output" might remedy. No dice on my end.

50. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
ReubenFink Dec 30, 2013 11:46 AM (in response to NoahEdward)I want to throw my 2 cents in to this mess. This issue is becoming intolerable and seriously needs to be addressed. I also feel it's become significantly worse with the 7.2.1 update. I am working with 50mps footage from my gh3. The vid files are on an internal raid 0. My music files are mp3s and my timeline is not complex. I'm working with 16 gig of ram and while playing back this project I still have 8 gig of ram free. My timeline has been completely rendered. All bars are green and yet after playing a 10 minute sequence the audio cut out 16 times, stuttered 3 and by the end I tallied up 33 dropped frames. At one point the vid just hung for 4 seconds then caught up. Why is this happening when a timeline has had both audio and video completely rendered. I've run it through the system audio, and tested with multiple audio outputs including a blackmagic card and an external USB sound card. All of these exhibit the same problem.
Is this not happening with everyone and if not then what is the common denominator for the ones that are having these issues? Maybe we need to start asking the right questions. Is it the codec? Is it our settings? Is it a software bug? The fact that Adobe doesn't address the complaint means that they have no idea I'm assuming. The only time a staff member said anything was regarding the buzz because they understand that issue, created the issue in the first place, and could rectify it. That at least shows they are reading this thread though they stay fairly quiet.
When I google "audio dropout premiere pro" I get quite a few other complaints about the same issue filed back to CS6. I want to continue using PP but if they don't work with us to figure out the issue than how do they expect us to have confidence in their membership program. They should at least be troubleshooting with those on this forum to find an answer. When the buzz started happening they at least let us know that they were working on it. Adobe are you working on this one? I can probably hold out for another month or so but if there's no word on progress do you really expect me to renew my sub. There are many other things that I love about CC but this one issue would be enough for me to jump ship.
PS. Switching audio hardware preferences did nothing. But at least it was a suggestion and I'd be open to trying any other ones that people may have.

51. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
jamesmarcustucker Dec 31, 2013 9:13 AM (in response to evil_twin1)I have now installed the bugfix and it seems to have fixed this issue to an extent. Now however, I just reopened a project I have been working on, to find about half of the audio clips set to - infinity (silent) when they shoudn't be. And there are lots of clips, and will be very time consuming to go though and set them at the desired levels again. Somehow, of their own free will, they decided that they didn't want to be heard. And when I set some of them back to the desired level, they decide they still do not wish to be heard and play back silent.
I am genuinely angry about this. I have clients I need to sit with infront of this mess of software, and I do not know what to do. I may have to move to Vegas or Edius and demand my contract to be cancelled.

52. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
JBowdach Dec 31, 2013 10:12 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Conform process has been completed long agom as has been for files reimported from AE and audiition. This is FAR too prevalent of a bug for you to not be able to recreate in house. I cant imagine how many bug reports have been files (I personally have filed two) and we are no closer to any resolution, yet we continue to pay monthly. I had a 16 hour edit session last night where I ran into the issue continuously in completely rendered previous (both video and audio) every few minutes. The ONLY fic was stopping playback, jumping back, and starting playback again. In did find that selecting render audio sometimes helped but in no way was a fix.
Mark, you and your team at Adobe need to to put together a team to get to the bottom of this bug and quickly. I'm frankly sick and tired of seeing updates come , fixing little things here and there, while ignoring MASSIVE issues such as this audio playback dropout. Please devote a proper team to recreating this bug and resolving it ASAP or I am afraid myself and numerous other video professionals will be forced to consider other options, as its downright embarrassing to be showcasing a final product to a client and have the audio dropout (especially when the job you did was a final audio mix).
Please don't take this as a rant, but a desperate plea for immediate assistance for a game stopping bug that has been around since CC day one. PLEASE mark this as extremely high priority

53. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
randywarren Dec 31, 2013 1:20 PM (in response to JBowdach)Shocked that Adobe Staff Mark Mapes has said that they can't recreate this issue.
I agree with JBowdach's attitude that this isn't a rant, but I think we'd all agree that this goes waaay beyond a traditional "bug." I'd say anything that prevents actual editing from happening, and repeatedly appears as malfunctioning (especially in front of a seated client) is simply not acceptable.
Personally, I'm going to give it one more major update and then I'll consider a rock solid editing platform of over 20 years (hint: many of us started non-linear editing years ago on this "composer")
I trust that all of you on this conversation has submitted an official Bug Report at least once.We have to at least go through their protocal if we have any hope of change.
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
Let's all inundate them with this same issue and perhaps they'll take notice.

54. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
jaimevallesdesign Dec 31, 2013 6:13 PM (in response to randywarren)I submitted the bug report as well. This continues to happen to me, and it makes editing very difficult.
Here's the report I submitted, in case it helps others write their own version:
******BUG******
Concise problem statement: Audio cuts out during playback on timeline.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Begin playback of edit on the timeline.
2. Audio cuts out.
3. Resume playback and audio is fixed.
Results: Audio randomly cuts out during playback. It never occurs in the same place. Video continues playing back smoothly. If I stop playback and start it again, audio returns.
Expected results: I expect audio to play back smoothly without cutting out randomly. All the video & audio files have been conformed, and there are no nested sequences or effects in the timeline (other than a few simple dissolves and cuts).

16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M
Apple Thunderbolt Display
4TB External USB3 video storage drive

55. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
Spinflight Jan 2, 2014 11:23 PM (in response to jaimevallesdesign)The audio cuts out on every machine I've tried. Doesn't matter the configuration. So frustating. Talked to someone representing Adobe at NAB last year about it and the guy seemed to know what I was talking about. Had a few things he wanted me to try. Nothing I've tried has worked.
Of course Adobe is in denial when they say they've never heard of the problem or have not been able to recreate it.
It's a problem that's rampant in the Premiere community. Of course they know it exists.
Gonna have to jump ship and give FCP X a go. I've never had this issue with any other editor.
Nothing is more embarrassing than to keep telling the client I have to stop and start the vid again just to get the audio to become audible.
Whatever version adobe is using where they can't recreate the issue, I want that one!!

tessting Jan 3, 2014 11:35 AM (in response to Spinflight)We have two machines that we use Premiere Pro CC regularly (every day) and it only happens on one (constantly). That machine has an external monitor and mixer using AJA Kona card and the OS is 10.7.5. and has 16G of RAM. The machine that is not having the problem has an external audio box (Focusrite) which is connected by USB, but no external video monitor. That computer is running 10.8.5 and has 16G of RAM. We need to fix this ASAP!

57. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
C2Cvisuals Jan 3, 2014 1:13 PM (in response to tessting)Ever since I switched to Premiere Pro beginning with CS6 and now CC I have had this problem.
I'm on a retina Macbook Pro 2012, 2.6 Ghz, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Nvidia GT 650M 1024 MB, running 10.8.4.
and PP CC is version 7.1.0
I encounter this problem constantly playing back my timeline whether there is one single longer clip or many short clips in a finished project. It seems rednering the timeline from in to out helps, but once I stop the playback and continue it is cutting out audio again.
I have no idea how to go around this and I never had any problems with FCP 7 and previous versions.
I am strongly considering learning FCPX, because this is quite embarrasing knowing some amatuer with imovie does not have this problem, whereas the pro with a professional app cannot simply playback audio in his timeline.
Adobe please do something about it. There is no way in hell you guys cannot replicate this bug. If you want I can upload a video clip showing the exact behavior of PP CC.

59. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
JBowdach Jan 3, 2014 3:53 PM (in response to ReubenFink)I'm using a variety of sources, mainly to try and narrow down the issue. I've done projects completely using native h264 straight from my Canon DSLR. I've used CIneform transcodes using GoPro Studio from the H264 for smoother editing. I've tried transcoding to DNxHD as a high quality intermediate coded as well, without any improvement. Ironically enough, I've had the best results using straight native h264. Yes, i did create a new proper sequence for each set of clips (DSLR sequence for H264, Cineform 2d for Cineform, DNxHD sequence for Avid).
As this issue seems to be in Macs, PCs, CS6, CC v7-v7.0.2, various video codecs (h264 to ProRes), I'm highly speculative of EVERY "cause" expect for a bug in Premiere. At this point, I feel like Adobe and sokme other users are simply poiinting towards others things and saying "it could be (audio conforming), etc" wihtout there being any real possibility of that being the issue based on the bug reports and feedback in this forum.
Its extremely simple: this thread is full of paying monthly subscribers who have a very wide variety of software and hardware configuartions having the EXACT same issue, going back months, with little to no feedback from Adobe besides "we can't recreate this issue". Frankily, this complete lack of customer support combined with such a major bug is pathetic. As a company charging a monthly subscription, I'm not sure this should even been allowed to continue : been aware of a major bug yet ignoring it despite customers reporting and complaining about it, while fixing minorn bugs and adding additional features to please the "majority".

60. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
Truth Pictures Jan 5, 2014 9:39 PM (in response to evil_twin1)Having same issue. Audio drops out randomly while playing any and all sequences, while video keeps playing.
I have experienced the "bug" when editing a project on which I've been working for over a year, and on a project of different video that I've been editing for a day. It's the same audio drop-out problem on all sequences and projects.
I have been editing the same footage, the same sequences, on the same PC for over a year, and this issue only began within the last two weeks. I note that nothing has changed except the appearance of the bug so all the specific equipment, system, RAM, etc. considerations mentioned in other posts can be, in my opinion, ignored. And I note that the bug appeared very, very late in my working experience so this concept that we can tell Adobe how to "re-create it" can be nixed. It's random! It's absurd! I can't explain absurd randomness to the coders, and, apparently, they can't either. It's clearly a Premiere problem that has nothing to do with all the other factors being suggested in this thread.
It should not matter if I edit on a Commodore 64 with Windows 95, audio should not randomly drop out in ANY video editing software. Video and audio playing are the most basic of all editing functions, so having one half of the basics drop out randomly makes the software aggravating at best.
It is disconcerting that Adobe isn't engaging us on this thread (I am one who also sent a "bug" report, see post #2 for the link to send a "Bug" report, too). They currently have me by the nose because I need After Effects, but I won't put anymore money toward Adobe until this bug is fixed.
I wish I could contribute more than additional complaints, but the more this wheel squeaks, maybe Adobe will engage on it and figure out the root cause.

FreekFilms Jan 6, 2014 9:02 AM (in response to Truth Pictures)I have the exaxt same issue. Super anoying, almost impossible to work with Premiere this way, a discount would be appropriate as long as this issue is not fixed. Takes way to long now.

62. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
weheartstudio Jan 6, 2014 1:52 PM (in response to FreekFilms)I found the fix for this issue on our computers. I was running low on RAM when playing back the video. I got the program on mac called "Memory Clean" and cleaned my memory right before playing the video. It didn't cut out anymore.
With the program you can see how much memory the computer is using. As soon as I hit play on the video it automatically drops by 2gb of RAM.
I would be Adobe can't replicate the problem because they have amazing computers crammed with a tin of RAM.
I don't know if it will fix everyones problems but it worked for me.

63. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
JBowdach Jan 6, 2014 1:56 PM (in response to weheartstudio)Im sorry to report, I have plenty of free ram at all times w a min of 16GB in one machine and 32GB in another. EVen having Audiiton, AE and premiere open, I still just barely start running out of RAM. THat being said, I rarely run with more than one program open.
Not trying to discredit your solution, but Im just trying to illustrate that there is NO way this issue is as simple as "lack of free ram". Glad you found a solution that works, but please do not shed false hope on something that technically makes no sense when comapred to the massive variety of system conficurations, operatin systems, and Adobe software versions. This is a Major bug that requires adobes immediate attention, and when they see some people saying "we fixed it by closing applications", it does cause them to move on to other issues.

JBowdach Jan 6, 2014 2:08 PM (in response to weheartstudio)Not trying to be harsh, but its clear this isnt an easy "one setting" issue. I wouldnt be surpirsed if you were back later with the same issue and that "workaround" didnt fix it. I just dont want Adeobe to have ANY excuses not to fix this bug, and due to the MASSIVE variety of people having this issue, it simply cannot be lack of ram, lack of HDD space, drivers, or anything as simple as that. Glad you found a workaround to get u going tho

tessting Jan 7, 2014 12:11 PM (in response to tessting)I just tried changing the Preferences in Premiere to use the system audio settings, rather than the AJA Kona card, and it's playing fine. It means that we can't use an external video monitor but it's worth it to be able to play a video through without audio dropping! I wonder if it has something to do with the Kona card or drivers? I tried chatting with Adobe support and they didn't have any answers except to try transcoding the video to MPEG 2...??? Then, they dropped the chat. Adobe, please look into this problem!

67. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
NoahEdward Jan 8, 2014 7:41 PM (in response to tessting)Okay, so I'm not sure if this needs to go on a different thread or not, but my audio crisis with Premiere is actually getting worse. The audio cutting out randomly is now being supplemented with loud clicks whenever the playhead is dropped to a different point on the timeline (When audio is enabled for scrubbing). It also randomly happens whenever the playhead reaches a new clip on the timeline, insanely annoying whether I am wearing headphones or not. Crossfades are also still posing an issue and the 7.2.1 update didn't fix, but I know there is a seperate discussion for that so I won't go further into this. Lastly, every time I resume playback from a paused status, ie. whenever I push the spacebar, I get the loud click. I have no idea how to describe this better, it just doesn't make sense. The click is like dropping a needle hard on a record player kind of sound.
The audio clips play fine with no clicks in the source window, it's only when they are put on the timeline that everything goes haywire.
I am quite frustrated with the performance of basic audio playback in premiere. It's killing my ears and my patience.

68. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
ReubenFink Jan 8, 2014 8:32 PM (in response to NoahEdward)Just one more glitch on top of all the others. Ok that's it I finally just gave in and rolled back to 7.1 and it's the only thing that has kept me sane. Besides the increased audio dropouts,My timeline for a one hour docu got so unbearably slow after the 7.2 update that I thought my computer was about to croak. But it's not my machine it's PP. I reverted back to 7.1 and all is well. I'm glad to see my monthly payments are going towards the finest R&D. Welcome to the new paradigm. We are the beta testers. This is how it's been going with more and more companies (Red, Black Magic, Apple FCPX) The time that I have wasted based on this socalled update which only seems to have broken more than it fixed, is beyond reason. I don't mind being a beta tester I just don't like being charged a premium to have that job. The threads are growing fast with complaints and Adobe is pretty quiet but if anyone is like me then they are under a year contract to see this thing through. It's sort of a probation period to see how truly beneficial the CC concept really is. I really want adobe to succeed. But if this is how it continues then the choice is obvious. Not only do we want fresh updates in order to justify the rental of software but we also want feedback. We want someone to actually say somethign on this thread like "So sorry we are trying to figure it out. We want to feel part of a community and not ignored. You get that from a small company since they know they have to show they care in order to survive. The problem with CC is there's such a huge amount of Apps that when one is having glitches such as Premiere it's low on the list of Priorities. Even if they were to lose every professional editor it's probably a drop in the bucket next to their Photoshop/Illustrator/Designer customer base. it won't really effect thier bottom line. I'm just curious. I've heard some ranting on this thread and I'm equally guilty but I really want to know what other editors are going to do if these current issues are not addressed. Feel free to speak your mind. No one at the top is listening.

69. Re: Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out
NoahEdward Jan 9, 2014 10:26 AM (in response to ReubenFink)Yes I am definitely going to have to roll back to 7.1 also. Just got *another* new glitch on top of all the other ones. When premiere is open, it blocks all audio from other applications unless premiere is the active window. Then when I close Premiere, audio is not working on my other applications, but miraculously starts up again as soon as I click on Premiere. Playing music from Spotify or a web browser in the background with Premiere the active program is fine, but audio just cuts out when I go to another program. Very very strange. things go back to normal after I restart the computer.
Submitting another bug report, and going back to 7.1 until the next update.

Checking in to see if theres been any luck in recreating the issue/progress on the matter. I have deadlines coming fast and slamming my headphones every 10 seconds because the audio drops and drops and drops isnt getting me anywhere.
I tried rolling back to 7.1 and that didnt fix the cutting out issues either. I recently made the switch to premiere and didnt even think I needed to check the barely competent issues like simple audio playback, but it makes cutting any scene with dialogue almost impossible.

vahuckster Jan 14, 2014 12:43 PM (in response to Mark Mapes)Checking again to see if there's how solving this large issue affecting many people is coming along.
I reset where my peak files were placed, taking them from a secondary internal to the boot drive (as well as the drive premiere is installed on) fixing the problem for a day or so, but the problem is now back and worse than before, causing audio dropouts close to every other second. (press play, dropout, press play, dropout, ad infinitum)
Looking forward to the fix.

AngelodellaGioJa Jan 14, 2014 12:42 PM (in response to vahuckster)Simple solution my friend and I found: click and play a youtube video in
your browser whenever sound drops out in adobe. For some reason, even just
playing a youtube video for a quick second and then coming back to the
video, the sound is recovered. Ideally, adobe will fix the bug already!

rosco188 Jan 16, 2014 9:36 PM (in response to AngelodellaGioJa)i am having this issue as well - very frustrating - premiere is not usable.
it's terrible and not something i've ever dealt with in my 12 years of editing.
so that said, the latest replies to this thread claim using youtube helps - i noticed my flash needed updating, so i updated.
i will find out tomorrow if it does anything but i've got to say i'm not too positive here...
just going to have to wait for an update from adobe same as i am waiting for rain from the sky out here in CA!

xosheisge43 Jan 17, 2014 4:44 PM (in response to rosco188)I'm also having this problem. Makes it difficult, near impossible to edit anything like a montage or things with music. Sometimes only one of the tracks will drop out. Like, the music will cut out but the interview audio continues to play.
As for the youtube fix. I just tried it and it doesn't seem to work for me.
I would like to add one thing about my problem. Not sure if it's really happening this way or is just more noticable under these circumstances but it seems to be more frequent when there is digital peaking or very loud agressive music? Anyone else noticed this?

aebmke Jan 21, 2014 12:08 PM (in response to evil_twin1)We're seeing this too (randomly) on two Mac Pro 5,1 (10.8.4) systems running Premiere 7.1. Sequences are H.264 based with a VO track and a couple tracks of music. Video continues to play smoothly while audio cuts in and out. Takes a few stops/starts before the audio will play smoothly with the video track. Nervous that it will act up when clients are in for sessions.

rosco188 Jan 21, 2014 2:36 PM (in response to xosheisge43)i have found something that seems to help. i downloaded a program called memory clean for mac and noticed it was redlining during PP playback. i then checked memory prefs in PP and changed "optimize rendering for:" from performance to memory.
now i can actually make it through my sequence!
it's a bit scary to watch the memory clean app in your menu bar reveal how little RAM is avail but at least i can get through this 16 audio channel sequence without dropouts... it's the first time in a week i have been able to do this.
NOTE: i can not have any other applications open when editing or it drops out again.
we'll see how long this fix works - i will be right back here if it's not a real fix but figured i'd share my experience in case it helps anyone else.
maybe i should have gone with 16gb of ram instead of saving my pennies!
good luck.

vahuckster Jan 27, 2014 7:38 PM (in response to JSS1138)Thanks for the editing Jim
But no, a simple stop and start does not work fine. When I cannot play a clip for more than a few seconds I cannot find pacing, I cannot watch a preformance. I can't watch playback to see if everything goes together, I cannot edit audio at all. Was that meant as a joke?
After spending hours on the phone, and turning over my computer with screen sharing programs adobe's only recomendation was to get a new graphics card. The reasoning was since mine was not specifically approved my ram was spending all it's time rendering the video and couldnt handle the audio. (40 gigs isnt enough aparently) After finding a new one off the offical premiere approved list, I installed it with absolutely no change or affect.
Audio still drops.
As Rosco recomended I tried changing
"optimize rendering for:" from performance to memory.
this allows audio to work but the video becomes insanely choppy and unable to watch, even at 1/16th quality (which is too degraded to even work with, but thats beside the point)
Anyway, Adobe. Just checking in to see if you've done any looking into the issue. Its not going away, and telling your customers to waste money on new hardware is not the answer.

rosco188 Jan 27, 2014 8:25 PM (in response to vahuckster)i had audio drop out on me again today - admittedly i had one other application open - (chrome w/ 2 tabs) i had to restart to get back up and running without audio dropping out.
it's not at all reassuring that this can happen on a whim.
i have submitted a bug but adobe please respond publicly- awknowledging the issue would be a huge start!
