I have downloaded the update of flash player however every time I do this it doesn't work.

i have xp, use chrome and the update to flash player will download but not install!

Chrome has its own Flash Player Plug-in (called "PepperFlash") which is modified and embedded by Google, It CANNOT be updated from here. The ONLY way to update PepperFlash is to update Google Chrome.

If Chrome IS up to date, Flash Player will be too. If you need to, uninstall it from the Control Panel and redownload it. Then once it's installed, type "chrome://plugins" in the address bar abd check the version. It'll be 12.0.0.41 and 12.0.0.47 for both.
