I can't install adobe flash on my Mac

Ive read through all the forums and spent the last day trying to resolve this issue that looks like many others are having. I updated FLASH but it didn't install so I followed the procedures to uninstall as detailed in many places and still nothing. I have NOT deleted my mach_kernal and I do not want to update to Maverick due to the fact this is on a recording studio computer and Maverick can't be trusted just yet.

I bought my macbook last March - Im running 10.8.5 (2.9 Ghz Intel Corei7)

Please can anyone help me with this?
