Hi,

As a matter of interest where is Flash installed in IE and Firefox?

Am I correct in thinking that Flash is used to view videos?

Thanks

C/Windows/System32/Macromed

C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed

Those are the physical folders where it goes.

It's a "plugin" for the browser(s).

Flash is used to view video, animations and some interactive content, like games which also require the Shockwave plugin.

There are three plugins for Windows

ActiveX (for IE)

Standard (for other browsers)

PepperFlash (for Chrome - embedded by Google)

SysWOW64 is a "Windows On Windows (WOW)" folder that doesn't exist on 32 bit systems because they don't need compatibility for 32 bit apps.

I included it as a location because most all systems today are 64 bit.

I have IE and FF, so both Flash Players (Active X and the Pluigin) are in the system32/Macromedia folder, am I correct?

I seem to have an application plugin and two utilities (installer/uninstaller)!
