authorization problems

I opned my book with adobe without authorizing my computer.  I had to reinstall adobe now I cant authorize my computer or read the book.  When i try authorizing it replies the vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open.

I am having a similiar problem after having to re-install my operating system and ADE. I installed ADE with no problems but it will not accept my Adobe ID so I authorized my computer without one. Now, when I try download my ebooks from the library I get an error message.
