1. Re: only english/roman characters?
SM Das Sep 28, 2010 11:59 PM (in response to badgertech)Hi,
We do plan to support other language fonts but unfortunately it would probably not be happening very soon ie, not in immediate future.
Sorry about that.Do continue to provide your feedback and suggestions on Story though. Your feedback is valuable to us and helps us in getting better.
Thanks,
Adobe Story Team

2. Re: only english/roman characters?
Bisht Navneet Sep 29, 2010 12:02 AM (in response to badgertech)Hi,
Adobe Story currently supports French, Spanish, German and Italian locales that has following characters sets:
a) Latin\Roman characters (for ex: A, B, C)
b) Diacritic characters (for ex: Ä, Ö, Ü, Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú)
c) Ligatures (for ex: ß, Œ, œ)
As of now we are not supporting Double byte characters (usually in Japanese\Korean locales )or Cyrillic characters (usually in Russian\Ukrainian locales).
Could you please provide us more details on the requested language fonts. We will discuss with the respective team here and if possible include the support for that language fonts.
Thanks and regards,
Navneet Bisht (Adobe Story)

3. Re: only english/roman characters?
badgertech Sep 29, 2010 12:16 AM (in response to Bisht Navneet)I would like Korean for now. And Japanese/Chinese characters in the in the future. I'm not a programmer...but I would guess including fonts shouldn't be a big change in code.

Thanks for sharing the information.
Currently, there is no plan for Korean locale support. We may have the support for these locales in near future. (can't commit now).
Please sign-up in either English or other locales and feel free if there are any queries related to the feature workflows.

5. Re: only english/roman characters?
WiseEmperor Feb 7, 2011 6:02 PM (in response to badgertech)Hi,
I am a Malaysian, and now I am writing a chinese film screenplay. I learnt the format of the screenplay, but I use it in Microsoft Word 2007 for Chinese. Once I know that there is a screenwriting software which is Final Draft 8, I download and try it but it disappointed me. Each time I key in a Chinese character, sometimes will appear another character.
Till I found Adobe Story, I use it online for a try. But every time I key in a Chinese character it appears as a dot. I would like to suggest to have Simplified Chinese Character (Chinese PRC) now, so that I can use in future for my Chinese film career and internationalizing the screenplay format.
Thanks and regards,
YongShen Tan (Malaysia)

Many Thanks for trying Adobe Story for screenplay writing. We have noted down your request of supporting Simplified Chinese Characters set. We will try to have the support of this locale in the near future.
For now, please try signing in English locale or in other supported locales (i.e. French, Spanish, Italian and German) and let us know if you have any queries related to any of the feature workflows.
Thanks and regards,

AnubhavRohatgi Feb 28, 2011 1:43 AM (in response to wiosnawiosna)Does using the Cyrillic fonts in Story help? You can pick these fonts from the font drop down list in the formatting toolbar. View->Formatting toolbar

11. Re: only english/roman characters?
wiosnawiosna Feb 28, 2011 2:05 AM (in response to AnubhavRohatgi)We don't use Cyrillic Alphabet in Poland.
I checked. There are only three fonts: Courier Std, Minion Pro, Myrian Pro. None of them works.
