Gerd Kalesse Sep 25, 2013 11:52 AM (in response to Manish-Sharma)Hi there
Wow! Just about an instant and very comprehensive answer. Thank you very much!
Unfortunately I was not quite clear.
I have downloaded all the apps I need already. There are updates and revisions quite frequently and it is the sizes for those that I would like to know. Even the CC Updater gets updated quite frequently, but I think this one is quite small.
Any ideas on those?

3. Re: Sizes of Downloads for CC
Manish-Sharma Sep 26, 2013 2:08 AM (in response to Gerd Kalesse)With CC, the workflow for software download and install is silent which may be resulting in confusion.
When you go to CC desktop apps and intiate a software installation like Photoshop then the setup files gets downloaded on your computer and the installation starts. Once the installation is complete, the downloaded files are automatically deleted to clear up your disk space,
So, there is no downloaded files which remains on your computer once the update/installation is complete.
Installation is different concept wherein the software is installed on you computer for usage.

Gerd Kalesse Sep 26, 2013 5:16 AM (in response to Manish-Sharma)It seems we are talking past each other at the moment.
To give you a real life example.
I opened the CC Download manager this morning. There I could see there was an update for PS. 14.1.2 to be correct. Just a little one it said.
How little is little??? I want and need to know!
I would like to know how much data flows through my account in order to download "x". The amount of data required altogether (whether later deleted or not) could be stated in the CC download app in order for a user to find out before downloading how much data will be downloaded.
Like there is a lot of room here for a little bit of information. Like: 235MB for example. That is all and that would be so helpful for some of us.
Clear?

PrintFusion45 Sep 26, 2013 5:44 AM (in response to Gerd Kalesse)Since this feature is not present in CC desktop app as of now, and your advice is welcome, you may fill this wishform and log in your feature request: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

Gerd Kalesse Sep 26, 2013 6:23 AM (in response to PrintFusion45)Hmmmm...
This advice could have been good.
Sadly the link given is totally outdated and doesn't even mention anything of CC!!
What now?
Shouldn't this "requested" information be included as a matter of common courtesy?

rmartin215 Feb 6, 2014 6:38 AM (in response to Gerd Kalesse)Has this question actually been answered?
I also would like to know the size of my files residing on the cloud. It is not obvious to me how to do this. For ex., right clicking on them doesn't work.
Thanks.
Update: Actually, sizes are listed beside the name of the files.
Sorry.

Ken G. Rice Feb 6, 2014 10:52 AM (in response to rmartin215)@rmartin215 - In the browser from the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files click on the View button and switch from the default Mosaic to List. You can then see the file size and even sort by file size.

Hi Gerd,
The data that Manish posted was pulled from the Adobe CC direct links page, which includes the file sizes for all the latest Creative Cloud apps (the base release downloads)...
If you're also interested in the sizes and release dates for all of the CC updates to date (and going forward), then you'll find them here for all apps:
The Adobe CC Updates: Direct Download Links for Windows
The Adobe CC Updates: Direct Download Links for Mac OS
Hope that helps, and is comprehensive to what you wanted to know!

Doris Schneider Mar 21, 2014 2:28 AM (in response to ProDesignTools)thanks to ProDesignTools!
your posted links helped a lot, as I also wanted to know the update sizes before starting the download.after all, this feature shouldn't be too complicated to integrate to the CC desktop app?!
so, adobe, please add this request to your client's whishlist!

12. Re: Sizes of Downloads for CC
dfcrichardson Jun 26, 2014 11:34 PM (in response to Gerd Kalesse)This is still an issue, I agree with the original poster, it should be common courtesy to list the file size of the update you are about to make in the creative cloud desktop app, the fact that this "feature" needs to be requested is a little ludicrous. I am not saying you can't find the size of the update with some googling but really why should you have to, the point of the creative cloud desktop app is to make this stuff quick and easy. Not everyone has unlimited high speed internet connections, we need to know how large it is so we can block off an appropriate amount of time for the update or just make sure it doesn't finish our cap for the month. Adobe is an international company and should act like it.
