what can i do to install flash (tried 15 times or more) on an hp running vista?

I have enabled scripts.  I tried the run & save trick.  I get the "Thank You" message after I have gone thru the instalation.  I can see that the program is on my drive.  But I cannot get the player to work with any online video..........

Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save Link As" (Firefox).

Flash Player Uninstaller

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Save ALL files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.

Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.

Next, run the ActiveX Installer.

Lastly, run the Installer for other browsers.
