It just stops downloading at 7% and closes

I have a MacBook air, and it is relitively new. I have tried to watch videos but it says that my flash is out of date.
So I attempted to download the newest version from the link it directed me to. Everything seems fine untill it begins to download.
It stops progress at 7% everytime and then after a while just closes the whole installation application.
Please help this is so important.
