Conditional Build Tags

Hello!

I have a question about conditional build tags. I have an help with titles like this:
"3.1 Chapter Name"

and in every page, some references like:
"see 3.2 Other Chapter".

It's right for my printed documentation, but not for my online help.

I can manually select "3.1" and "3.2" (in the examples) and apply default tag "Print" to exclude "3.1" and "3.2" in the HTML Help layout, but I hope that exists an automatic process to do it...

Thankyou!

There is no way of RH knowing what you need to exclude. Therefore the only way to apply buid tags is manually.

Hi Highspeed,

you could use a search and replace programme instead (just run it before build time). Something like MacroExpress or BK ReplaceEM (which handles regular expressions).

You can also use MacroExpress to help you with the process of marking these occurences with conditional tags.

Just a thought and good luck!
