program signature corrupt or invalid

good day,

i'm trying to install flash player in windows 7. message appearing, "the signature of this program is corrupt or invalid". what do i do?

Download the appropriate Adobe Flash Player FULL installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

thank you mike for your reply. I clicked your I.E. link and followed the instructions but, unfortunately, the same error message appeared and flash player didn't install.  thank you for taking the time to try to help. it has been suggested that I install google chrome, which I don't really want to do because of the size of the program, and i'll maybe give it a try. all the best.

This could mean that the download is corrupted.  The file size of the installer is 16,894 KB (17,298,824 bytes); download it again if it's different.
