Sinuhe Feb 18, 2014 4:54 PM (in response to Nancy O.)Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 Version ("Versión" in Spanish) 12.0 Build 5808;
Workspace "Classic" (Clásico in Spanish). I have the following, listed in
Spanish:
I saved:
RFW_Classic_1 (the one that appeared at the very beginning)
The_James (from somebody that suggested it, when I followed some first
training)
And here are the ones that come with my Dreamweaver:
"Desarrollador de aplicaciones" which means "Application Developer"
"Desarrollador de aplicaciones avanzado"
"Business Catalyst"
"Clásico" (That's the one checkmarked)
"Programador"
"Programador avanzado"
"Diseñador"
"Diseñador condensado"
"Pantalla doble"
"Diseño fuido"
"Aplicaciones móviles"
Thanks,
Ricardo Fontanot

3. Re: Bayside beat: build the page structure
Nancy O. Feb 18, 2014 5:02 PM (in response to Sinuhe)DW CS6 is nothing like DW CC. The menus are different. Some things have been removed from CC, etc..
I think the Bayside Beat tutorial was written specifically for DW CC, so that would explain the discrepancies you're seeing.
Below is the Check_Magazine tutorial written for DW CS6

4. Re: Bayside beat: build the page structure
Sinuhe Feb 18, 2014 5:24 PM (in response to Nancy O.)Ahhh. OK. Thanks, Nancy.
I live from my "Internet business", but don´t earn too much!
I don't know how I ended at CC! I just look around to see, if I can learn
more and more about Dreamweaver, which is a fantastic application. I am
trying to survive here in Mexico through some Internet presence and I
always use Dreamweaver (each and every day of the year, so to speak!). The
problem is, I normally use the basic functions, and only here and then I
look to tutorials to learn from. I normally edit and design pages in html
and php and upload them with an ftp application (Total Commander). The
thing is that designing with a local site is really worth the while. I
already have "AMPP Control Panel" installed because some time ago I
followed a different course called "Check Magazine" from the same
instructor. Anyway, I want to remember the whole thing and learn more!
Survival is a problem for me, and I must work hard to maintain my head over
the water! But I am sure, as time goes by, I will make it! (I must!).
Adobe set up an "Adobe Creative Cloud" icon on my desktop. Shall I download
Dreamweaver CC from there (I think I saw that option)? Or will this only
confuse things? (My question also relates to if it is possible to have
Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and Adobe Dreamweaver CC at the same time, and if
this is advisable).
Thanks again! I am aware now on what was happening!
Regards,
Ricardo

Nancy O. Feb 19, 2014 10:19 AM (in response to Sinuhe)If your computer meets the min-requirements to run CC, you may install it along side CS6.

Sinuhe Feb 19, 2014 11:23 AM (in response to Nancy O.)Thanks again, Nancy. You are really helping me understand and take
advantage of new opportunities. Technology is very fast, not as fast as our
evolution as human beings. I am for peace and understanding, but there is
war to subjugate others and force them to think "civilized" like we think
we are thinking.
I will try Dreamweaver Creative Cloud as well, thanks to you. I always
liked the way of Dreamweaver, and Creative Cloud is also wonderful. We are
here to create, made to the image of God, The Creator.
Thanks again,
Ricardo

7. Re: Bayside beat: build the page structure
EricHardeman Sep 23, 2014 11:48 AM (in response to Nancy O.)I think I am having the same problem. Under "Create the Page Structure", part 9 suggests clicking the page once to move the insertion point out of the document title box. When I click the page nothing happens. A tab with an asterisk is not created for the file to be saved. I am using Dreamweaver CC tutorial, do you have any suggestions that would help me to move forward? What do I look for?
