You don't need to install Chrome; download these installers:

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Flash Player (Mac OS X)

It keeps telling me that internet explorer is the reason I cannot download the flash player when I try to do an adobe update if I unclick the chrome portion it starts to download and then stops with internet explorer problem and I always make sure I am out of all programs???
