Crazy bugs in Source Monitor. Anyone else see this?
PierreLouisBeranek Feb 20, 2014 5:35 AMIs anyone else seeing these crazy bugs in Premiere Pro? (CC7.1) Here's the official BR I just sent to Adobe:
******BUG******
Concise problem statement: 'Source Clip: Next' and 'Source Clip: Previous' keyboard shortcuts not working when Source Monitor is in Full Screen mode.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Load 2 (or more) clips into the Source Monitor
2. Use the 'Source Clip: Next/Previous' keyboard shortcuts to switch between the loaded clips. Everything works fine.
3. Toggle the Source Monitor into Full Screen mode, and use the 'Next/Previous' shortcuts again.
Results: The 'Source Clip: Next/Previous' shortcuts only switch the audio but not the video! Using the 'Next' shortcut to switch from 'Clip 1' to 'Clip 2' for example, keeps the current static frame of 'Clip 1' visible in the Source Monitor, while the audio from Clip 2 is heard upon playback. Using the 'Previous' shortcut to go back, makes 'Clip 1' display and play back as expected.
Hitting 'Toggle Full Screen' on 'Clip 1' toggles back out of Full Screen,
BUT
Using the 'Toggle' shortcut on 'Clip 2' (with 'Clip 1's image visible):
1x: nothing happens.
2x: 'Clip 2's video appears in Full Screen and plays back normally.
3x: Source Monitor finally toggles out of Full Screen.
HOWEVER, going back to 'Clip 1' reveals no video image whatsoever (only the Source Monitor's grey background is seen) whereas 'Clip 1's audio continues to play normally.
The only way to get 'Clip 1' to display again at this point is to:
1. Close the clip and reload it in the Source Monitor.
2. Hit 'Toggle Full Screen': 1x: Nothing Happens. 2x: 'Clip 1' reappears, in windowed mode. 3x: 'Clip 1' finally appears in full screen mode as expected.
3. Hit 'Toggle Full Screen' while 'Clip 2' is visible. The Source Monitor toggles back into full screen mode as expected. Use the 'Source Clip: Next' or 'Previous' shortcut to load 'Clip 1'. 'Clip 1' appears correctly. BUT:
a) Hit 'Toggle Full Screen' 1x: 'Clip 1' appears in windowed mode as expected, but now 'Clip 2' is grayed out!
or
b) Switch back to 'Clip 2' and hit 'Toggle Full Screen' 1x: 'Clip 2' appears in windowed mode as expected, but 'Clip 1' remains grayed out!
Please fix these bugs that prevent the Source Monitor from effectively being used in Full Screen Mode!
