Flash player not working in IE11 on Windows 8.1

I am on Windows 8.1 and working with Windows 8.1

When I test Flash, I get this screen

When I check if the player is enabled or disabled I get this screen (seems that Flash is enabled):

When I check for ActiveX, this is the result:

What can I do to get Flash working?

Most of the problems come from the abomination Microsoft calls a browser---Internet Exploder 11.

IE has always been the problem child of browsers, but 11 has got to be the biggest pile of garbage to come out of Redmond, WA since Vista. They rewrote the "User-Agent Strings", which websites use to identify the browswer and provide the proper content for it, like ActiveX specific things. Some sites now ID it as Gecko (Firefox) while others ID it as Webkit (Chrome or Safari). Problem is, that when the content is adjusted for those User-Agent Strings, it REQUIRES the appropriate browser engine, which IE doesn't have (it uses Trident). EVERYTHING falls apart after that.

So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.

Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using a different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.

I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Firefox (from Mozilla)

Opera (from Opera)

Safari (from Apple)

Chrome (from Google)

ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

i think the reaLproblem  is ADOBE FLASH PLAYER itself..there're always sound problems when i play any game on my laptop(win7 x64bit),or watching any videos by IE11.it works max. 5minutes then sound is  off..Adobe is updated,,everything is updated,Windows has been re-installed again,Sound drivers has been checked,pc has been checked...

grrrrr  everything is checked  but it works just for a few minutes....by the way,same problem for Chrome..

my opinion it's the result of  the war between Google Chrome and Microsoft.

i have the problem for 1 month

Sit around and find Microsoft posts in the Adobe forums so you can cut and paste your useless information?

Instead of installing the windows update KB######### , uninstall it. then install it again.

Did you manage to solve your flash problem in the latest version of WIndows while running Internet Explorer 11?

I'm having the exact same problem and Mike, changing to Firefox, Safari or whatever browser didn't solved the problem.

So You might be my last hope Chris.

At Flash Player Issues | Windows 8, step 3 says to install a specific Microsoft KB patch.

I fixed it by locating the patch in my WIndows Update history and uninstalling it, and then manually reinstalling it. 

In my case the bad patch was KB3001237
