1. Re: Changed out Quadro 4000 for GTX 770 - no change in performance
Kevin-Monahan Feb 25, 2014 2:47 PM (in response to sebrame)Hi sebrame,
You probably would not notice much difference between the two GPUs because exporting is primarily a CPU intensive process. Please check out this blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2011/02/cuda-mercury-playback-engine-and-adobe-premiere -pro.html
You may need to adjust your expectations.
Thanks,

sebrame Feb 25, 2014 3:05 PM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Sigh...well, at least I can probably unload the Quadro 4000 for equal or more than what I just paid for the GTX 770.

shooternz Feb 25, 2014 4:03 PM (in response to sebrame)You probably are experiencing a better realtime experience with the extra cuda cores though.
THats where you want performance.

sebrame Feb 25, 2014 4:15 PM (in response to shooternz)I hadn't noticed, because I had the Playback Res set to 1/2, but I just upped it to full and it does play back without a stutter now. Nice! Maybe I didn't make a mistake after all - at least that's what I'll tell everyone.
