1. Re: Folders and sub folders.
andaleebfatima1 Feb 26, 2014 10:13 PM (in response to Annsbeads)The option of viewing folder hierarchy is still there. Please click Ctrl+T on Win or Cmd + T on Mac to switch to folder tree view. Alternatively, you may click the icon next to My Folders label in left panel.
Thanks

2. Re: Folders and sub folders.
MichelBParis Feb 27, 2014 12:44 AM (in response to Annsbeads)Is it the following case ?
That required change is now 'under consideration'...
Which is your older version ?
The PSE11 and PSE12 now have a much safer 'folder view' than the very buggy old ones.
Personnaly I would never go back to the older versions. As mentionned by Andaleebfatima1, many users don't learn the new interface and miss the hierarchical 'folder' view. I don't miss at all the way you could browse the contents of a selected folder and its subfolders in the main browsing space like in my old PSE6. If you are using the organizer as it was meant to, you have to use the database, the keywords, categories and albums and the folder structure can be ignored. On the contrary, people wanting to use the organizer as a browser to keep an older folder-based organization must know that:
- the organizer can now do this safely, contrary to the older versions, but with changes in the interface and the limitation of displaying only the contents of a folder without its subfolders.
- using the categories, keywords and albums would give them much more power and flexibility.
If Adobe implements this 'under consideration' feature, I'll be glad for the folder structure people, but I think they are missing much more by not using the organizer as it should be.

Annsbeads Feb 27, 2014 2:19 AM (in response to MichelBParis)Thank you for reply, and I get what you are saying. I do still prefer working with my folder system though. Thanks again.
