1. Re: Annoying Text Focus Space + Delete Bug
GaryRosenzweig Mar 4, 2014 9:50 AM (in response to GaryRosenzweig)One thing I should add is that this also happens in the ActionScript editor, like when you are editing a .as file (which is what I do 90% of my day). So any text you have selected while editing AS will be deleted if you switch to another panel or app, and then back again. Makes it very difficult to get any work done. Without Undo, it would be impossible.

2. Re: Annoying Text Focus Space + Delete Bug
GaryRosenzweig Mar 12, 2014 7:55 PM (in response to GaryRosenzweig)Update. I figured out that this has something to do with Enhanced Dictation in Mavericks. It happens when Enhanced Dictation is turned on, not normal dictation (which sends audio to a server and then gets tet back), but the Enhanced Dictation option that processes the speech locally. This is in System Preferences.
I'm not using dictation, I just happened to have it turned on. When I turned it off, or switched to normal dictation, this problem doesn't happen. I confirmed this on both my Mac Pro and MacBook pro.
Hopefully this helps the engineers track down the problem.

Mohanaraj Mar 25, 2014 6:10 AM (in response to GaryRosenzweig)Hi Gary,
Just want to update you that if you want to overcome this issue but want to use Enahnce Dictation then you can set your Shortcut to Off in Dictation & Speech System Preferences. This way text in Flash Pro will not get affected.
Thanks!
Mohan
