How do I adjust the audio level of the original video track in Photoshop CS6?

      Hello Photoshop Wizards!

I have an old video made from a VHS casette to which I am adding graphics using Photoshop CS6.  The volume on the original recording is not very loud.  I need to make the audio louder before I render the final video.  But I can not find any way to do this.

I have found that if I add a new separate audio track, I can easily adjust that volume by opening a dialog box on the separate audio track icon.  But I can not find anything anywhere in any panels (properties, etc) or in help, that tells me how to bring up the audio level of the audio that is contained within the original video camcorder recording.

Right  now, all I can think of is to somehow make a copy of the audio of the original video recording,  and insert that as a new audio track.  But I have no way to do that, and that seems rather complicated for something that should be very simple.  So I am assuming someone can help me by telling me what I am missing.

Also, on YouTube, there is a short lesson by Howard Pinsky, in which he SHOWS doing a simple right mouse click on the video track, to allow access to the track's video AND audio properties.  But that is not working for me.  I right click all over my basic video track, and only pull up motion control option.

Please help,,,,,,,,,,  thank you,,,,,,,,,,, !!!!!!!!!!!  Chuck

PS:  I am now reviewing my Photoshop CS6 Classroom In A Book, chapter 10, page 273, where it says that video clips show up as blue tracks, and still clips show as purple  tracks in the video timeline window.  Interestingly, my audio/video track, that will not allow me to modify its audio volume, is shown as a purple track!  So something in Photoshop is telling me that this is not a video track, but it is!  It is the only video track in my project.  Everything else is just small Illustrator images I have imported.   Is this a useful clue?
