ThePhilHamer Mar 2, 2014 12:44 PM (in response to JSS1138)Here is a link to download a short clip. As you will see, (and you can see in the screenshot below), the timecode is correct in the properties, but the clip in the bin (and when brought into a sequence) does not show the correct timecode.

This issue does not occur when we try the same clip in Premiere 6, 7, or any other quicktime related software. it only occurs in the lateset update of CC 7.2.1 (which is what we need to use).
Thanks

ThePhilHamer Mar 2, 2014 2:40 PM (in response to JSS1138)The pix only records QuickTime files. Is there a different kind of file you would need?

8. Re: Timecode issue with Pix 260i and Premiere CC
ThePhilHamer Mar 2, 2014 3:16 PM (in response to JSS1138)I'm confused. Why do you need to transcode it? Can't you just import it into premiere?

13. Re: Timecode issue with Pix 260i and Premiere CC
TomasFF May 1, 2014 12:59 PM (in response to JSS1138)Hello Jim,
I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy. With which version of Pr CC will read the timecode of the quicktime files made by the PIX?
And is Adobe planning to implement it in a coming update?
Thanks.

14. Re: Timecode issue with Pix 260i and Premiere CC
JSS1138 May 1, 2014 5:09 PM (in response to TomasFF)I don't have any experience with that media. I've also seen nothing about this media in the published features included with the next update.

15. Re: Timecode issue with Pix 260i and Premiere CC
KeesJansen May 8, 2014 9:12 AM (in response to JSS1138)It's a 'professional' application. It should show timecode in ProRes files.
So if you shoot a production on ARRI, and Import your ProRes 444 native files in Premiere coming from the camera. And you have no timecode?
And then you say to the production team? Ieeeuww It's a Quicktime.
You're so stuck in the 80's Jim. ProRes Quicktime s here to stay and it's everywhere.
Even Adobe Premiere CC supports it! Look here. I've added a link for you, the expert.
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/extend.html
Native editing of QuickTime formats
Import and edit all the popular QuickTime formats natively (including Apple ProRes and MOV files captured by Canon 5D and 7D cameras, and QuickTime and MOV files from the JVC ProHD camera range), with full access to clip metadata — no transcoding, rewrapping, or logging and transferring required. MJPEG media from the Canon 1DC is also supported natively with improved performance.

16. Re: Timecode issue with Pix 260i and Premiere CC
TomasFF May 8, 2014 9:36 AM (in response to KeesJansen)And here lies the problem. There is a bug in the latest version. I tested 4 machines two had 10.8.5 as an operating system (15 inch laptop and iMac) and two 10.9.2 (17 inch laptop and the new Macpro).
When you look in the properties of the file you see the correct timecode, but not in your timeline and not when you place the timecode filter on it. Then it starts with 00.00.00.00. :-(
I don't hear or see anybody complaining about this.
WHY?
I had to swich back to cs6 to start editing with my project. A project containing more than 7 hours of material and every take is noted with the corresponding timecode.
Are there more people having the same problem?
Tomas
