Little_Pale_Face Mar 2, 2014 3:51 PM (in response to zermattway)Hi,
What operating system are you using?
What mail client are you using?
If you are using something like Outlook or Windows Live Mail, then the error message is possibly because the way the client is set up. Can you still send emails from your client?

zermattway Mar 2, 2014 4:14 PM (in response to Little_Pale_Face)OMG I can believe someone has read this. Thank God!! Since PSE 10 is not longer supported by Adobe, I bought the PSE 12 and down loaded it today, I un installed the PSE 10. So here I am getting ready to email a few photo's and I get the same error message I got with PSE10. saying my email settings need to be verified, PSE is sending an email to my email address, I need to but the verification number they send me in the HTML email sder verification field. Well I never get an email from Adobe (or anyone else) with the vertif number. When I trouble shoot it, it tells me to go to the email client menu and choose a client. So where do I find the email client menu? I am using Windows 8.1 I am not sure what the term mail client means. I have not problem sending emails from my email. I think my client my be AT&T ????? Oh I sure do hope you can help me. I am about bald from pulling my hair out!!

Little_Pale_Face Mar 2, 2014 4:29 PM (in response to zermattway)HI,
You tell Elements the mail client in the preferences [Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing].
It sounds as though you are using Adobe Email Client and have set up your email address in the sharing preferences. The email from Adobe with the verification code is sent to that address but sometimes gets trapped as being spam - check you spam email folders.
Info: Mail client is an application which runs on your PC and talk to you email service provided by your ISP.
For Windows 8.1 , I prefer to use Windows Live Mail as my mail client but you may not have that installed and configured.
I think that AT&T may be your service provider rather than a client. How do you send normal emails? Perhaps you use an online web service?
[Just a little warning, do not post your email address here as it can be picked up by spammers]

zermattway Mar 2, 2014 4:50 PM (in response to Little_Pale_Face)Yes the HTLM does say I am using Adobe Email client. I have checked my spam folder and have no email from Adobe or PSE. I would like to change to Windows Live Mail, mail client but the drop down on the HTLM screen doesn't give me an options. AT&T is my provider. my email address is .........@bellsouth.net. Perhaps you can tell me how to change Adobe email client to windows live mail. thank you again for your time. Jane

Little_Pale_Face Mar 2, 2014 5:11 PM (in response to zermattway)Hi,
I have found in the past that creating a free online account like outlook.com and using that enables the verification email to get through. It could be that AT&T have a filter on which stops the email getting to your AT&T account.
For Windows live mail, you first need to install windows live essentials
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-live/essentials-other#essen tials=overviewother
Once installed you need to configure Windows Live Mail to access your AT&T account - you may need to get AT&T to help you there as I'm in the UK an haven't a clue on their requirements.
If you get Windows Live Mail to work, then you change the sharing preferences to use it.
