We are currently developing a Coldfusion application where one of the requirements as set by the client, is that it should be distributed as a deployable EAR file. Our plan is to develop the application locally and then generate the EAR file using the Coldfusion Administration (or a custom ant script) and distribute the Coldfusion EAR application to our client. The licence in the EAR would be the Developer Licence since the client would be using his own Coldfusion licence. Our concern is whether the Coldfusion Developer Licence legally allows us to distribute the solution as an EAR. Using a CAR file is out of the question.
