Flash Player Installation

I have a new iMac and can't install Flash Player 12 I get this message:

Error: Unable to proceed with the installation

Can anyone shed some light on this. I am caught in a troubleshooting loop and can't get out!

Download the FULL installer here: Flash Player 12.0.0.70 Plug-in (Mac OS X)

Save it and quit your browser.

Double click the download to mount the DMG - DO NOT run the installer!

Right click and "Show Package Contents"

In Contents/Resources double click the Adobe Flash Player.pkg

A "COCOA" installer will launch.

Follow the instructions to install it from there.
