Bill Hunt Mar 8, 2014 4:51 PM (in response to owiseone61755)I have done this via creating a black background Title w/ Transparent Text in Photoshop. If one wanted a different color background, they would just create that in Ps, as well.
Good luck,

owiseone61755 Mar 8, 2014 4:57 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Hey Bill,
Thanks! I actually just figured out another way to do it before reading your response. I did a fill color for the text with a background applied in the titler and then ultra keyed the text color. I'm wondering if theres a way to now replace the static background of the title with a video on another track via a track matte key?

shooternz Mar 8, 2014 6:10 PM (in response to owiseone61755)Create a Title in Titler or Photoshop
Apply it on layer over Video
Add Invert Effect to Graphic (Maybe its Invert Alpha)

Biggles Lamb Mar 9, 2014 1:45 AM (in response to owiseone61755)There is generally more than one way achieve the result you want.
Create the text graphics in title rand place this on track three with the video you want to see on track two, drop a track matte on the vid and from the drop down effects select the track 3 title
On track one you can put a vid or a coloured matte etc whatever you want as the main color
