How do I transfer a client's url from Go Daddy to BC. I want to use one of my 5 hosting sites for this client.
I developed her web site using Muse. Thank you
Hi Phyllis,
You need to go into the site admin and set up the domain names under the Site menu -> Domain Names
Then you need to log into GoDaddy and change the Name server settings to:
NS1.worldsecuresystems
NS2.worldsecuresystems
This change could take up to 48 hours.

Good Evening,
I am trying to transfer a url to BC. Earlier today Brad gave me these instructions below. When I try to make these changes
I check DNS Control - Enter nameservers: There are 4 boxes.
In. #1 I place NS1.worldsecures systems and in box #2 NS2.worldsecuresystems
I get an error in both boxes: INVALID TLD error. Can you help me? AND then
how do I get BC to recognize the hosting.
Thank you.
Phyllis

Good Day,
I am still having some trouble transferring a url from GoDaddy. Does BC require the submission of the authorization code
from GoDaddy, and if so, what it the prompt from BC for the authorization code. Where would I submit that within BC?
Thank you!!
Phyllis

Hi Phyllis,
You should no need to use the authorisation code as you are not physically moving the domain - you are simply pointing it to the BC servers to manage.
Have you set up the domain name in BC already? It won't work until you have done that.

Again to be sure though as the other guys have provided the right information.
You are not transfering the domain reigstra to BC so if you did the UDI number - this is not what your doing. All you are doing is pointing either the name servers if you want everything from email to the website to be on BC OR you just point the A- Records (web traffic only) to BC.

Brad,
Does this transfer the email servers/service as well? I have a similar situation moving from 1and1.com to BC. I don't want to interrupt the email of my client.

In that case you would only change the A Record ...

Hello Brad, I can see that you are very helpful here in the Adobe Community. Thank you so much for answering questions. I am new to Adobe and Web Design. I am attempting to publish a website today on the current version of Adobe Muse. Do you happen to know a good article for step-by-step publishing for beginners? My Domain Name is purchased through GoDaddy. Thank you!

Here you go, if you are leaving your email with your domain provider you will want to jump to about page 10 (Advanced). Otherwise just follow these easy instructions. Feel free to drop a note here if you have any further questions on it.
