I am trying to install flash player on a mac.

This is the message I get: "Error; unable to proceed with the installation"

None of the troubleshooting documents help.  I have ensured that javascropt is enabled and I have de-installed flash prior to attempting the install.

The OS is 10.9.2.  The browser is safari 7.0.2.

Is anyone able to help?
