Adobe/Jive have a BAD title for the SEARCH THIS FORUM function
Go to http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere and, in the area just under Ask a Question, type in
maverick
or
mavericksor
10.9.2
You may now read previous discussions on this subject... be sure to click the See More Results at the bottom of the initial, short list if the initial list does not answer your question

alfbogen Mar 22, 2014 4:26 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi Kevin,
I have an iMac
27-inch, mid 2011
Processor 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
Software OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
I do not think I have any HW accelerators.
I own two comlete Masters Collections CS6.
I have reinstalled Premiere Pro and ubgraded to the latest 6.05.
I have tried to used disk utilities to repair rights.
I have had full stop in my videoproduction on this machine for more then a week now. I was so happy with PR after I left Final Cut, but I cannot continnue like this.
The error message I get is:
"Sorry, a serious error has occured that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attemt to save your current project"
When I try to click OK nothing happens. I have to force quit.
On my Retina laptop I also have 10.9.2 and PR PRo 6.02 and it works fine.
What can I do with my iMac ?
Best,
Alf

Kevin-Monahan Mar 24, 2014 10:54 AM (in response to alfbogen)Hi Alf,
Try the following:
- Check to see if you have mistakenly intalled CUDA drivers
- Reset preferences
- Sign out, then sign back in to the Creative Cloud
- Remove third party plug-ins
- Try to launch from a new user account
- Uninstall and reinstall the application
Thanks,
Kevin

alfbogen Mar 25, 2014 10:29 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Hi Kevin,
Thanks for trying to help me out.
I have tried all this.
This is not CC it is the CS6 local client. I have therefor not tried another user account. Will it help to create a clean user account ? Then I need to install the Pr there as well ? Why ? and how do I then get it to work on my original account ?
I tried to reinstall the SW and updated to 6.05 again. Still the same issue. I have not installed any plugins after this.
After effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and the other programs works fine.

Can you see if you have installed CUDA drivers? That's the first thing to check.
Thanks,

See this document and try the alternate solution: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/ame-premiere-crash-launch-export.html
Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks,
