1. Re: Premiere Pro update from 5.0 to 5.03 fails.
John T Smith Mar 21, 2014 7:18 PM (in response to robirdman1)Have you tried the manual download and update process?
All Adobe updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

2. Re: Premiere Pro update from 5.0 to 5.03 fails.
robirdman1 Mar 23, 2014 4:17 AM (in response to John T Smith)Well I was trying to follow up. First the forum was down for a half day so I couldn't read the post. Then when I could get on, I followed the link and started with the 5.01 download.
the box asking to open or save went to the bottom of the screen and the windows task bar was blocking the area to click. Normally this goes away but it didn't the rest of the day. Is there a way to clear that away? Also the download box couldn't be moved, so for this simple ridiculous reason, I could proceed no farther.
today I tried again and the taskbar wasn't in the way and I downloaded the 5.01 update and then went to run it and it said I need to register and buy Winzip. So before I can proceed I need to buy another product?

robirdman1 Mar 23, 2014 9:47 AM (in response to John T Smith)I downloaded that and ran the exe without problem, but when I click on the 5.01 updgrade it still results in WinZip asking to buy.
How do I get the other one to open it?

5. Re: Premiere Pro update from 5.0 to 5.03 fails.
robirdman1 Mar 23, 2014 10:30 AM (in response to robirdman1)Ok, I used the program to go to its file manager and select the zipped update. It unzipped it. there is Adobe Application Manager, and if I run that, it says to download the latest one and that fails. If I click on the other, Patch installer, it fails also.
I tried a system restore to before I uninstalled PP, and after windows came back up it said the restore failed and now there are no restore points.
