Why cant I download the current version of Flash Player

cant watch videos computer says need to install new version of flash player.  but when I try to install it it says I have to close internet explorer and gplayer.  I dont have gplayer and dont know where to find it.  its not one of my programs nor is it listed in the uninstall programs.  help

cek your IE plugin, maybe there was a plugin named gplayer. Close or delete it.
