I tried the "right click on the installer and then open the show package contents and then open the resource folder", but nothing is in my resource folder so now what do I do to open the Adobe Flash Player?

There is a "Stub installer" and the FULL installer.

The stub doesn't have the package, the FULL installer does: Flash Player Plug-in FULL Installer (Mac OS X)
