Stan Jones Mar 26, 2014 11:27 AM (in response to John T Smith)I've never tested this, and had the same question. I almost always put a simple menu in a project even if first play is a timeline. So I just set the title remote to the menu.
Joe Bowden once explained one part of this as:
Title menu is the menu that comes up when you press the Title or Top Menu button on your DVD player remote control. Usually, you want your beginning menu to come up here. Set Title Remote in the Disc properties.
Based on that, I had assumed that the top menu button may function as a title button.
Richard Knight once said:
I have found if you don't set it with 'menu less' discs they won't play in most dvd players.
But, as you say, with no menu, your only option is "stop," and you probably don't want an inadvertent menu press to stop the disk.

Hmm... maybe I will switch my process and enter "stop" for the title remote... when sending a "quick" video to someone I would rather have it stop if they hit the wrong key... not refuse to play at all
