Am using Captivate 2 on windows XP. Recorded a demo yesterday, and saved the file. When I opened the file to edit it today, the second half of the demo was not recorded. While recording, everything was fine with Captivate - didn't close or indicate that it had stopped recording.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi JoanMS

Questions:

1. Were you careful to save before closing?
2. Where are you saving? Is it a network drive or is it your local PC?

Cheers... Rick

Rick,

Yes, I did save the file to a network drive before closing. During recording, Captivate gave no indication that it had stopped recording. The next day when I opened the demo, the last half of the demo was missing.

Hi Joan

Saving to a network drive is generally a very bad idea and could easily explain what you saw. Take a look at the following Technical Note from Adobe:
