I had an error message after updating Flash so I uninstalled it (sigh)  I am trying to reinstall it but the link on adobe that points me to http://get.adobe.com/es/flashplayer/ displays a page in Spanish.  I click on the language option bottom left and I can change it to say French but when I click on united Kingdom or any other European Country that is listed as "English" I get the page in Spanish! See here http://get.adobe.com/es/flashplayer/

I am using Windows 8.1, 64 Bit, Google Chrome  I tried from Internet Explorer and got a page saying Flash is already installed (even though I just uninstalled it) I am losing the will to live. Can someone please point me to a page where I can install the English version

Thanks, Andrew

That is the Spanish download page; do you get English here: http://get.adobe.com/uk/flashplayer/ ?

Anyway, Windows 8.x already has Flash Player preinstalled for Internet Explorer; you cannot use the standard installer from the Adobe site.  The same is true for Google Chrome.

If you really uninstalled Flash Player from Internet Explorer, you need to download it from the Microsoft site: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html#main-pars_header_0

Hi Pat,

When I click on the link to http://get.adobe.com/uk/flashplayer/ I am

redirected to http://get.adobe.com/es/flashplayer/ which is also where I

end up if I pick any European country with English next to it from the

country options on the bottom left of the adobe install flash page.

I bought a new laptop last year with windows 8 which has since been updated

to 8.1 I am not sure when/how I installed Flash but it was definitely

listed in add/remove programs and I uninstalled it this morning. However

IE does still report that Flash is installed. I think I am just going to

leave things alone, if something that doesn't have Flash needs it I will

look again. But somebody at adobe does need to look into the bizarre

redirect to an install page in Spanish.

Thanks, Andrew
