I received your distribution then tried MSI & EXE packages to install it in a large amount of computers in my company. Tested in a computer then the install completed shows in control panel the right version 12.0.0.77.

When testing to the web site http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html I'm informed that Flash is not installed in my computer.

Issue is that I cannot open a file in acrobat using Flash technology. File is issued by IATA and containing TACT information for 2014.

On the same computer, if I install Flash Player from Adobe web site (downlod center) this fix my issue. Platform is Windows 7 SP1 in French IE9

Thanks in advance

Yves

What files do you have in

  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
  • C:\WINDOWS\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?

Can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log files in the above folders?  (Not everything, just the last install.)

Hi Pat

As I’m not having to many machines to test I had to re-image the computer issued.

Please see attached the log file.

I can see with a new install based on the same image (I use lmagex to clone my machines) the issue is now fixed when installing the same MSI distribution file.

Only point is the error message I can identify on top install process (Log file). I don’t know if there is normal but Flash is detected and able to open web sites with Flash technology.

I see that there is an error for C:\windows\system32\FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl and C:\windows\system32\FlashPlayerApp.exe

You need to perform a clean install on computers showing these symptoms: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
