JimHess Apr 7, 2014 2:20 PM (in response to MyYawrood)The key word here is, "need". All of the Camera Raw capabilities are part of Lightroom. You can do the same raw processing with either program. The difference is in the user interface and workflow. Personally, I prefer Lightroom to Camera Raw. But I'm sure you will find that opinions vary. You can download the trial version of Lightroom and use it for 30 days and see how it integrates with Photoshop. Then maybe you can decide for yourself. I suspect, however, since you are accustomed to using Photoshop and Camera Raw that you will probably feel that Lightroom just gets in the way. I didn't like Lightroom when I first started using it. But it is my favorite postprocessing software now.
